I'm almost done those magic stripes socks! Yeah! they fit perfectly, and let me tell you, they'll definitely end up my favorite pair to wear. They feel heavenly on my feet, though not as soft as some other pairs I've made. But they just fit so perfectly. Usually they end up too small, or a little too big, or the heel is too small... but this pair... ah....

I've actually been working on my socks lately. I've been working on my Magic Stripes socks that I started a few months ago, the color is demin stripes. I realized after the heel turn how low on yarn I was, so I added a solid color blue that matches the blue in the socks almost perfectly. I'm adding in a few rows of the solid color blue every now and then in between the main Magic Stripes yarn, to make the yarn go farther. I do toe up socks only, so when I run out of Magic Stripes, I'll finish the socks with the solid blue in ribbing, or maybe I'll start the ribbing with the Magic Stripes when I know I'm getting really close to the end. So far, I've got about five inches above the bottom of the foot knit. I usually like shorter socks but because Magic Stripes is a little thicker than regular sock yarn, I really would like these to be heavy duty, keep my feet warm socks - so, I'm hoping to stretch out my yarn & get at least 7", 8" would make me happier but I think unless I want to use a lot of that solid blue, I won't get to 8". I've never used up all of my yarn to make a pair of socks, so this is a bit weird for me, using more than my 100 grams & then some.

Japanese Feather Socks
Beautiful socks, and look like a fairly quick knit, too.
